HetrixTools alternative
Best HetrixTools alternatives in 2026
HetrixTools is popular with hosting providers and people running their own servers, because it bundles uptime, server and blacklist monitoring with a free plan that covers a lot. Replacing it means deciding whether the blacklist monitoring matters to you, because most uptime tools, ours included, do not do it.

UptimeRobot
Best for: A large free tier for uptime checks alone
HTTP, keyword, ping, port, SSL, heartbeat, DNS and domain checks, with a free allowance that suits side projects.
Watch out: No server agent and no blacklist monitoring, so it replaces only the uptime third of HetrixTools.
Large free tier, then flat paid tiers
StatusCake
Best for: Uptime and server monitoring with SSL and page speed
Uptime, server monitoring, SSL and domain expiry and page-speed testing in one inexpensive product.
Watch out: No blacklist monitoring and no incident management behind the alerts.
Free tier, then per-monitor tiers
Site24x7
Best for: Mixed Windows and Linux estates that need breadth
Server, network, application and website monitoring in one suite, for teams whose estate has grown past a single agent.
Watch out: A dense console and resource-based pricing, and a big jump in cost and complexity from HetrixTools' free plan.
Resource-based tiers
Better Stack
Best for: Uptime plus on-call scheduling
Uptime and heartbeat monitoring with incident management, on-call rotas and polished status pages, plus logs and telemetry if you want them.
Watch out: Per-monitor pricing, host metrics through a separate telemetry product, and no blacklist or database monitoring.
Free tier, then per-monitor
Uptime Kuma (self-hosted)
Best for: Unlimited uptime checks for the price of a VPS
Open source HTTP, keyword, ping, port and push checks with status pages, and no monitor limits.
Watch out: No server agent and no blacklist checks, and it can go down with the infrastructure it is watching.
Free and open source. You pay for hosting.

Where HetrixTools is the better pick
We'd rather you choose the right tool than the wrong one. HetrixTools wins if:
- A free plan that is far larger than ours: 15 uptime monitors and 15 server monitors at one-minute checks, plus 32 blacklist monitors. NoDisrupt's free plan is 10 monitors at a two-minute floor, with no server agent.
- Blacklist monitoring across 94 IPv4 and domain RBLs plus Microsoft SNDS. If you run mail servers or hand out IPs to customers, this is a real job NoDisrupt does not do.
- A server agent for Windows as well as Linux, with PHP agents for cPanel and DirectAdmin hosting. NoDisrupt's agent is Linux only.
- One-minute checks on every plan, including free.

Switching from HetrixTools
- 01
Recreate your uptime monitors
Move website, ping, port and heartbeat checks into NoDisrupt with the same targets. Upgrade website checks to API monitors where a response body should be asserted.
- 02
Install the agent on your Linux hosts
One binary for amd64 or arm64, run under systemd, reporting CPU, memory, swap, load, disk and network. Requires Pro.
- 03
Add your databases
Point NoDisrupt at PostgreSQL, MySQL and Redis with a read-only user, so you catch a database that accepts connections but cannot serve queries.
- 04
Keep HetrixTools for blacklists if you need them
If you rely on RBL monitoring or Windows agents, keep HetrixTools for those, ideally on its free plan, and run NoDisrupt for everything else.
